Details are beginning to emerge of the plans for the revamped Manx 2-Day Trial. Having made the decision to move the long established event to a new date in July the committee have been working hard behind the scenes on various other aspects of the event.
New faces have joined the committee, there is a new secretary in place and plans in many other areas are progressing well.
The first of these to be announced is the change of start location for the trial with both days now beginning from the great facilities on offer at Douglas Rugby Club, located near Quarter Bridge on the TT course, on the outskirts of Douglas.
This great central location offers scope for improved access and parking, signing on and most important of all on site camping. There will be a bar and food available to make sure the atmosphere at the new Trial HQ really adds to the weekend.
Travel deals are now available through our preferred partner IOM Events so take a look at their website www.iomevents.com and see how they can make the trip to the Island more cost effective than ever.
Entries are due out in January 2017 with the event itself taking place over the weekend of 15th and 16th July 2017.
If you require any more information on the forthcoming tria, please do not hesitate to contact our new secretary, Cheryl Baxter via email, chezbax@gmail.com.
